In this tutorial, we explore Power BI's Query Editor, which helps transform and shape data to fit your needs.

Power BI Query: It enables data connections, visualizations, and analysis by using multiple views like Report View, Data View, and Relationship View.

Query Editor: Accessed via the Edit Queries option, it allows for data transformation and shaping, including connecting to various data sources.

Query Editor Features:

Inquiry Ribbon: Contains tabs like Home, Transform, Add Column, and View for managing queries.

Left Sheet (Pane): Displays all active queries, which can be selected for data shaping.

Data Sheet: Displays the data from the selected query, where transformations are applied.

Query Settings: Tracks and manages the steps applied to shape data.

Advanced Editor: Allows you to view and modify the M code behind the transformations.

Saving Work: After shaping data, save it using Close and Apply and save the project as a .pbix file.

By mastering these tools, you can effectively shape and manage data in Power BI to create meaningful insights.
